Being Thankful

I was in the middle of writing a blog post when I stumbled across a post by a fellow blogger about a similar topic. The otherside of the world and we think of the same post idea. Godincident, I call it.
We have been talking a lot about thanks. Being thankful for all things given to us.
So each day I ask, what are you thankful for today.
Its an easy conversation to have. We have learnt to be thankful in the midst of family turmoil. We have learnt to Trust him in everything.

So what am I thankful for today.     
I am thankful for the

....the rain that fell and watered my yard today
....for his provision with our home business
....For improper fraction / for 'invert and multiply' and the smile on Brid's face as she explains it to Daddy
...for colouring and  creating our JESUS tree.
....for fun creating our Lenten symbols and projects.
and my family..my husband...our children and the stretching of some wings...even if it not how we want it....

But mostly this week I am thankful for the new sense of contentment God has taught me. 

Joyful Mysteries

While praying the Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary tonight, we were all touched by part of the meditation:-     "Mary believed God's purpose for her,even though she did not always understand."
This is so very real for us at the moment, particularly with one of our children. We don't know where he is leading her or us her family. We just totally need to trust in His plan and purpose this path.
When you try to do it by yourself, and don't follow God's lead, things can fall apart or not happen, as you would want. We have learnt this last year, with our darling.
We are told in the 3rd Joyful Mystery that Jesus welcomes everyone, even those possessed by demons, those haunted by fear came and their spirits were lifted, and they felt there hearts soar. This gives me comfort, as we journey through this season of our lives.
Lastly, God makes our hearts for joy and will not let us lose treasures that truly matter. Our Joy comes from seeking Our Lord. .
This is just my Reflection on parts of the Joyful Mysteries that spoke to me.

Early this week, we were privileged to catch up with an amazing women, Irene Gleeson, who sold up her home in Sydney 20 years ago, to feed, wash and cloth children in Uganda.
It was an honour and delight to sit in her presence and listen to her story. She started under a tree, lived in a caravan living in fear of her life, now she has a complete township, several schools, and has saved 1000s of childrens lives.
She is completely reliant on The Lord for providing for these children.
She has no government sponsorship and somehow seems to get all types of works completed, including buildings built, a church, bores dug for fresh water, supplies come in the children.
She has an amazing vision and is always open to the plan Our Lord has for her ministry.
She is in Australia til the end of the week, and will return in December and is bringing with her Exodus- he is a Chritian rap artist, one of her children from Uganda.

Its been a very trying few days

Hello everyone,

Thank you for joining me again on my blog.

I am saddened though that I have lost the USA viewings. I am sure in time all will be well.

Its been rather a nice relaxing week, apart from this blogging issues, and yesterday with being both The Ascension and Our Lady of Fatima, it was a lovely prayer-filled day.

We have been doing photography in our Art Classes, and I thought I would put some photos up.
